The Greek island of Corfu is an underrated gem! Every time I open Pinterest, I see beautiful images of that shipwreck beach on Zakynthos or those picturesque white and blue houses in Santorini. But Corfu is virtually non-existent in my social media feeds.
While I am more than happy to keep this island secret to myself, I just simply cannot resist sharing the beauty of Corfu and the Corfiot people.
So, enough of my waffle, I’ll let these 20 amazing images do the talking. Let’s see if you are booking a flight to Corfu by the end of this post!

Amazing pictures! I’ve been thinking about visiting Greece lately but wouldn’t even know where to go really! Corfu looks incredible, definitely will have to put it on my bucket list!
What a charming place! The views of the water are stunning! and I love a town with old architecture! You’ve captured it well in these photos, and have convinced me to add it to my list of places to visit!
Oh these photos are so beautiful. What Cam do you use? I am using Canon 700 D with basic kit lens. planning to upgrade to a better cam for travel photography, any suggestions??
TIA
I use a Nikon D70 which is a really old DSLR but it does the job. I use a Nikon 35mm F1.8 G DX prime lens which gives great image quality. However auto focus and low light it struggles. That’s where my husband comes in as he’s a professional photographer. He uses a Nikon D750 but really that’s overkill for travel photography. So, I’d recommend the Fuji X-T1 and the Fuji 23mm F2 lens for great portability and amazing image quality. Hope that helps. Thanks for the lovely comment.
Wow i love your pictures! It is just so pitoresque and the colours are beautiful.
Wow! Greece wasn’t on my list but it sure is now! thanks for this lovely post (:

Thank you, Michelle! I hope you get there too. It’s such an underrated island but in my humble opinion, the best one!
Corfu looks amazing!!! I’ve been to Athens but none of the Greek islands, and of course the main island you hear about is Santorini. I will definitely have to check out Corfu if I get the chance to see the Greek islands!
It really is amazing! I travel all over and Corfu is one of the only places I return to each year. It’s so beautiful in scenery and culture too! Just try and get away from the touristy areas such as Sidari and Kavos!
Yup – that did it! I visited Corfu over 16 years ago (ACK!) and now I want to go back 🙂
Yay! Glad you want to go back! Hope you manage to 🙂
Wow what an absolutely stunning place.. your photography is amazing too!
Thank you 🙂 I have a little help from my husband who is a professional photographer! I have no excuses to take bad pictures when he is on my back 🙂
Such stunning photos! I still have yet to visit even though I go to Greece every year.
Ah well in my humble opinion Corfu is the best Greek island and so underrated! Hope you can visit soon.
Everything looks so beautiful! Wasn’t planning on going to Greece on my worldtrip but I keep seeing this beautiful photos on Greece and meet nice Greek people so maybe I have to change my plan!
Definitely stop by Greece if you have the chance, especially Corfu! It’s so rich in culture, the scenery is incredible and the food is amazing!!
Beautiful photos, Zara! I agree- stunning island. I lived on Corfu for nearly 10 years- I could never tire of all that natural beauty 🙂
Thank you Sally. You’re so lucky to live on Corfu for 10 years. I love it there 🙂
Beautiful photos of a beautiful place. I was in Greece for 4 weeks in 2013 and never had the opportunity to get up to Corfu. But daaaaamn, it’s stunning. 🙂
It definitely is stunning! One of my favourite places 🙂
Thanks for sharing your images and reminding me that I have to visit Corfu soon… It looks like a picturesque Greek paradise ! These photos definitely make me want to book a trip right now to Greece 🙂 Corfu old quarter seems to be awash in ancient multi-storied dwellings covered in pastel colors, arcades and peaceful squares with Venetian-style shutters. I would love to just relax on the pristine beach, and kick back on its powdery soft sands.
It truly is a paradise and there are still so many areas that are undiscovered by tourists. The old town of Corfu town is so picturesque and rustic. Beautiful! I hope you get to visit soon
Amazing photos! Corfu will be always in my heart, it is the first place where I have worked abroad. Spent there 5 months and had an awesome time! And it was actually already 10 years ago 🙂 Time to go back!
Aw I’d love love love to live in Corfu! It’s so beautiful and the people and culture are amazing. Glad you have fond memories of it 🙂
Gorgeous photos! I’ve only been to Athens but this looks so dreamy!
Athens is still on my list! I’ll get there one day. Thanks for your comment Emily 🙂
Such a beautiful photo journal of your time in Corfu! I think you did a great job of capturing the atmosphere – from the calming blue waters to the vibrant bouganvillea, the crumbling buildings and the rest of the rugged landscape. I especially liked the photo of the two elderly local women and the cliff jumping action shot. 🙂
Thanks so much for your kind words. Glad I captured the essence of Corfu and hope you get to visit one day 🙂
Beautiful photos! I first heard about Corfu a couple of years ago because my friend’s boyfriend’s parents come from the island. I’ve been determined to go ever since. It looks so beautiful!
Thanks so much! I’ve been there 5 times now and I never get tired of it. Such a stunning place and so underrated!
These pictures definitely make me want to book a trip right now! That water looks so beautiful and inviting!

It’s hard to not want to book a trip when you see photos of the Greek islands, they are so beautiful. I haven’t visited Zante or Santorini yet but they are both on my list of places to go. All I know is Corfu and Kefalonia are both stunning!
