Many people today still believe travel is unaffordable. But I love helping people to save money on travel and take more trips as a result.
By now, most of my friends know that I never pay over the odds for my trips and I have to say, I quite proud of my talent for getting seriously cheap deals! Really, I’m just super stingy and don’t like parting with my hard-earned cash, and when it comes down to it, the more money I save on each trip, the more trips I can take each year.
Because of my super stinginess, I frequently get asked by friends to help them book their trips, or to help them save money on travel. And I’m always so happy to lend a hand!
But it occurred to me a while ago that despite knowing exactly where to look for the cheapy-cheap deals, I’ve never actually shared the travel websites I use on my blog. So, without further ado, here are my trusted go-to websites that enable me to save as much dough as possible!
Of course, with a lot of these websites, deals won’t always jump out at you. Sometimes, it can take me weeks to find the right price, so you have to be persistent!
Airbnb – https://www.airbnb.co.uk/ – for apartments, private rooms or shared rooms at great prices! Click use link above for £25 travel credit.
Booking.com – https://www.booking.com – for hotel deals. Use this link for £15 money back on your first trip.
Expedia – https://www.expedia.co.uk/ – for hotels, package deals, flights and car hire.
Kayak – https://www.kayak.co.uk/ – for cheap car hire. Also do flights, hotels and package deals but I’ve never used for this.
Travel Republic – https://www.travelrepublic.co.uk/ – for very cheap package deals in Europe, hotels, flights and transfers.
Hoppa – https://www.hoppa.com/en – for cheap transfers between airport and your accommodation.
Skyscanner.net – https://www.skyscanner.net/ – my absolute go-to for flights.
Love Holidays – https://www.loveholidays.com/ – for cheap package deals in Europe.
Travel Zoo – https://www.travelzoo.com – for great deals on day trips, package holidays, flights and last minute deals.
Money Saving Expert – https://www.moneysavingexpert.com – fab discount codes for all the major airport parking companies in the UK.
Holiday Pirates – https://www.holidaypirates.com/ – for amazing flash sales, error fares and last minute deals. As a bonus, sign up for Holiday Pirates Whatsapp alerts to be the first to hear about flight error fares! I’ve seen flights to China for less than £100!
Secret Escapes – https://www.secretescapes.com – if you love luxury travel, or fancy treating yourself, check out Secret Escapes for discounted luxury, high-end hotels and flash sales.
Voyage Prive – https://www.voyage-prive.co.uk – another website for luxury hotels and experiences around the world. Great for flash sales and discounted five-star luxury.
While I understand there are hundreds of travel websites out there, these are my go-to websites when I’m personally booking travel. Some of them you will definitely have heard of but I some of them may be new to you and I hope they help you save money and travel more often!

Did I miss any of your favourites? Let me know in the comments. I love discovering new websites for travel bookings!
Thanks!
I love Holiday Pirates! I found a last minute flight to the Caribbean from London for less than £300. I was so gutted I couldn’t get time off work to go 😭
Ah no!! That’s the absolute worst!!! I’ve seen error fairs for ridiculous prices but have never managed to arrange my affairs to snap one up yet! One day!
Great list Zara and thanks for sharing! Not everyone is comfortable sharing their travel secret 😉 I am very curious about trying out holiday pirates.. see what they can do for my next travels.
Hope you manage to find some super cheap deals 😉
Great ideas! I always use Booking.com and Skyscanner, but will have to look into these other websites too. Thanks for the tips!
No problem Amy. Happy travels 🙂
Awesome post! Love that you shared all your favorite sites! I use some of these, however some are new to me! Can’t wait to check them out! Thanks for sharing!
Great! Glad there are some new ones you’ve not heard of. Happy travels 🙂
Great list! I use a lot of these websites too and think they are great. I am loving the booking.com discount, I have gotten a nice bit of cash back from also sharing my code! Thanks for sharing your tips!
Thanks Georgia. Yeah I guess it works both way, discount for them, cash back for us haha!
Great to find some new websites here for travel deals and holiday discounts. Did you find momondo useful one?
I’ve never used Momondo. I’ll give that one a go. Is that for flights? Hotels? Both?
For both but best for cheap flights
I like Agoda.com, personally. Not sure why or how, but all other things being equal, I seem to gravitate to that platform. 🙂
Ohh I’ve never heard of Agoda.com. I’ll check it out!
I’ve been using kayak for years and it is still my go-to site to search and compare airline prices. I haven’t heard of Hopp, so I’m gonna check that out!
Hoppa is great for transfers, especially in Europe resort destinations 🙂
Great list! I have heard from so many people that they love SkyScanner like you. However, I find that it isn’t that helpful and I think I must be using it wrong! If you have any suggestions, that might be a nice follow up post. I would especially love to know if there is a good way to set up SkyScanner to just let you know about any cheap flights from your airport at any time.
Hey! Skyscanner is really the only site I use for flights. There are so many great features, i.e. you can search your nearest airport and choose to view the cheapest flights to any destination across the entire year, entire month or using specific dates to find flights. You’re right, it would make a great follow up post! Thanks for inspiration!
Great post! I knew about some of these, but definitely just got a whole lot of inspiration for next time I go travelling 🙂
Great, always good to learn about new websites, savings are always welcome haha!
What a great list of travel websites, I’ve heard of most of them but some I haven’t so I’ll be checking them out 🙂
Glad some of them are new to you 🙂 Happy travels!
