  1. Curious if you think 4 nights is too much on Railay? We have 4-5 nights in between Bangkok and Chiang Mai and we were told not too jump around too much.

    1. Hi Pauline. I agree with not jumping around too much, purely because slower travel lets you really get a feel for the place. But it really depends on what you enjoy doing. I’d say there’s enough to do for 4 days at Railay – you can spend a day at Phra Nang Beach where there’s climbing, you could do the hike to the Railay viewpoint, spend the day at Railay West and then Tonsai too. You can hire kayaks, take a bioluminesence sunset tour, try out the different restaurants and bars. I’d say you wouldn’t be bored, but also, you can get a long-tail boat to Ao Nang and explore other islands from there, so perhaps 3 days at Railay and then a day doing a 4-island tour?
